20 foot crocodile!

On this past Sunday, September 4th, a 20 foot crocodile was pulled out of the river in the Philippines. It took about 100 people to pull it out. The crocodile was weighed at about 2,370 pounds! That's huge! It was estimated to be about 50 years old. They say that a crocodile can live for more than 100 years and live to be 23 years old. There are only about 250 of this kind of crocodile known to be in the wild. So there are many more of them in the philipines.

I think that this is just amazing. I never knew that crocodiles could get that big. This makes me feel lucky that i get to live in such a nice area and a place where no wild animals are. There are so many deaths from crocodiles each year. And just to imagine how big a 20 foot crocodile is, thats like the size of a car, but and extra ten feet longer.

  1. I am highly startled that crocodiles are able to grow to such a size. One swing of its tale could demolish an epic part of your house. You mentioned 100 people had to control this beast which was probably the size of the village. That is simply terrifying, I wouldn’t know how to protect myself. I doubt this crocodile would fit on Noah’s Ark! I can’t imagine the feeling of knowing there is more than one, and that they are just out in the wild marsh lands around them lurking for an opportunity. I hope these people don’t have extreme needs that lie in these areas. I assume they have their kids with them working too, being more than an attempt to the crocodiles. Nick I am very lucky like you, to have a controlled neighborhood. One that doesn’t have attacks with bus sized animals on the loose.
